FAQ

Real questions,
calm answers.

What GameBrief is, what AI does and doesn’t do, how your family’s information is held, what it costs, and how to get in. Anything missing? Email hello@gamebrief.com.

What is GameBrief?
GameBrief is a calm one-page brief that lands for every family at 6 AM and tells you what your kids’ day asks of you — practice times, weather, who’s driving, what to pack, what’s due. AI does the synthesizing across every team and every club. You read for a minute, and you know.
Who is GameBrief for?
Volunteer head coaches and assistant coaches; sports parents juggling multiple kids across clubs; and the volunteer admins and treasurers who run the season behind the scenes. The product is role-aware — the same app shows the right surface for who you are.
Do I have to stop using TeamSnap, SportsEngine, or my group chat?
No. GameBrief works on its own when your club is on it, and it can sit alongside what you already use during a transition. You can import your roster from another tool with one CSV. We don’t ask you to make a leap before you’re ready.
How is the morning brief built?
Every event your team has on the calendar is structured — time, place, what to wear, what to bring, who’s driving. Each morning, AI reads your family’s situation against the day’s events and writes the brief from your perspective. Practices your family is already in are confirmed quietly. The one thing that needs you for real is marked in mint.
Where does AI show up in the product?
AI drafts: the morning brief, the team message when something changes, the Sunday recap, audience segments (“who should hear this”), and the weather options when the forecast turns. AI never sends a message or commits a change on its own — every AI feature is a draft you confirm. And every AI feature has an off switch the club admin can flip without a code deploy.
How does the Weather Action Agent work?
When weather threatens an event, you tap one button. AI reads the forecast, looks at your roster’s actual availability, and brings you 2–4 options — hold and watch it, move the practice to a slot that really fits, or cancel and refund. The team message is drafted. The consequences are spelled out. You confirm once and the change, the message, and the calendar update all happen together.
Is the Coach Notebook really private?
Yes. Coach Notebook entries are locked on the device before they ever leave it, with a key that belongs to your club only. They’re visible to the coach who wrote them — and to an assistant coach only if the head coach explicitly shares a note. Our AI is not allowed to read the notebook. Treasurers and admins can’t see it either.
How are payments handled?
Payments run through Stripe — Apple Pay, Google Pay, and card. Card numbers never touch our database; only Stripe sees them. Mobile retries can’t double-charge. Refunds for cancelled paid events go out automatically and show up in the audit log.
What does GameBrief cost?
Pricing is in transition while we work with our private-beta clubs. We have committed to four principles: one transparent number, no per-seat trap, a published platform fee on payment processing, and free for families directly. The current posture is at /pricing.
Is GameBrief available now?
GameBrief is in private beta with a small handful of pilot clubs. We ship in waves and write down what’s live in the changelog at /changelog. If you run a club and want to be in the next group, email founder@gamebrief.com.
