What we believe

Four beliefs the product enforces.

A spec is a list of choices the product is going to make on your behalf forever. These are the four that shaped ours. They are visible everywhere: in the typography, in the kill switches, in the way the brief opens at 6 AM.

Chat is for novel conversation

Group texts ask a roster of forty people the same question every week. That is not communication; it is shouting into a stadium. GameBrief moves the routine work into structure and lets chat be chat again.

AI is a chief of staff, not a feature

Every AI feature reduces a chore the parent or coach used to do by hand. None of them exists to look impressive in a demo. If a model adds 200ms and 30 cents to a request, it earns its place. Otherwise it does not.

Volunteer coaches deserve professional tools

The head coach of an under-twelve travel team is doing finance, ops, comms, and HR — usually for free, usually at 9 PM on a Tuesday. The software they use should match that load with calm professional tooling, not consumer chrome.

Defaults matter more than features

The first decision a new admin makes is the one we set for them. Quiet hours on. Auto-RSVP off until they enable it. Stripe webhooks verified before the body is read. The defaults are the product.

GameBrief is built by Lee Lispi, with a handful of pilot clubs in the room. The team is small on purpose; the spec is long because the surface has to be right before the team grows. When the team grows, this page grows. Until then, this is who you are talking to.
